Jonathan Schmitt is a new writer recently graduated from the University of Iowa in Philosophy with a minor in Religious Studies. Born in Dubuque, Iowa he grew up the fourth of five children, the only one of which does not currently have children of his own, and so was able to study.
Before College he traveled the country as a performer with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps playing the baritone and contrabass. He now resides in Iowa City, Iowa where he has been an active member of the Hawkeye Jujitsu Club, where he is known as "Judo Jon", and is a former Iowa state Judo champion.
Among other things he enjoys cycling, cooking, playing games, Yoga, reading, writing, playing guitar, sitting in a steam room, thinking, podcasts, and whiskey.
